LEVERAGING SUCCESS IN HONDURAS
Corporate partnerships are critical to our mission.

Your company can support thousands of farmers in Honduras through this project. We work with small businesses in dairy to increase quality and productivity through innovation, accessing higher-value markets and coordinating with stakeholders. Help Heifer grow women farmers' success in creating profitable dairy farms. There are 48,500 farmers that are part of this project, and their income will grow from $2,300 to over $4,800 annually.

When businesses and corporations engage with Heifer, entire communities are transformed. Join us in creating promising futures for hardworking dairy farmers by helping them achieve their goals.

There are several groups working towards this fundraising goal of $1,800,000.

Honey Production

It’s estimated that one-third of global food production requires animal pollination and 80-90% of this role is carried out by honeybees. Farmers who keep bees see increased crop yields and secure the additional bonus of honey to harvest. Bees can double the yield of a small farm. The practice of beekeeping protects the environment.

Food security in Honduras

Leveraging Success, a 10-year project that runs until 2027, will help close the income gap by working with small and medium enterprises in the coffee, dairy and honey sectors. Smallholder farmers in these sectors can increase their incomes when they have access to skills, technology and capital to benefit from markets.

The project will reach 48,500 families by working closely with enterprises and farmer associations. Farmers are receiving expert support to boost their yields to deliver quality, reliable products for high-value markets.

To date, Heifer Honduras has enabled 565,000 families in 700 communities to become more productive and better able to adapt to climate change, increasing incomes and improving living conditions, and it has empowered 166 farmer-owned cooperatives and farmer associations to develop business plans and participate in profitable agricultural value chains.
